各位IT界朋友：
本年度會期已結束 暑假繼續關注業界
不經不覺，本屆首年度的立法會期已告結束。這一年的議會工作令我見盡政府的管治困局、社會矛盾激化、議會內外的角力不斷，都是源於政制不公平和政府缺乏民意認受所做成的惡果。不過議會工作依然是重要的，我期望在未來日子，繼續推動政策和監察政府運作。
在休會這段暑假期間，我將更集中關注業界，除了加緊政策研究工作，亦會舉辦一連串的座談會，討論業界相關的議題。除了本星期舉行的『香港資訊科技業在前海的機遇』討論會， 為回應業界對新修訂並全面執行的《2012年商品說明 (不良營商手法) (修訂) 條例》的關注，我將會聯同香港互動市務商會(HKAIM)、香港資訊科技商會 ( HKITF ) 及香港消費電子產品聯盟（HKCEA）等團體在七月二十九日(星期一)舉辦研討會，邀請有關當局及業界代表一同討論，加深業界對新例的認識，協助從事相關業務的人士了解新例和避免灰色地帶。按此報名，敬請踴躍支持！

Dear IT friends,
First LegCo Session Ends; Keep My Focus on the Industry
Time flies. The first year of the current Legislative Council session has passed. In this year, I witnessed first-hand our failed governance of our administration, intensifying social conflict, and the tug-o-war between different parties in the council - which were all caused by our unfair political system and the lack of mandate for our government. However, the work of the Legco is still important, and I intend to continue to focus on policy proposals and monitoring our government.
So, even over this summer, I will focus on our policy research work, and will also host a series of forums to discuss matters of concern to the IT sector. Apart from the ‘Opportunities for Hong Kong IT Industries in Qianhai’ forum this week, I will co-host a seminar with HKAIM, HKITF and HKCEA on the new "Trade Descriptions (Unfair Trade Practices) (Amendment) Bill 2012,” on July 29.
